Kamchatka Peninsular – the land of „Fire and Ice“ surrounded by the sea is a must see/visit location for adventurous heliskiers. I know – it is very far away and hard to get to, but it is absolutely worth it. 10% of the worlds volcanoes are here in this remote region close to Alaska. Most of the time the skiing is taking place on gigantic volcanoes with a vast amount of ski lines of all levels – and some of these long and sustained ski runs end right up at the sea. The landing zones are around 2.000 – 3.000 m – some are on active volcanoes … the smell of sulfur and the rumbling sound will make you shake in your boots.
